Mrs. Rosa Maria of Arcos de Valdevez learned (and later changed) the recipe of the Bolo the Discos (Disk Cake) with an older local lady very fond of cooking. However, as it is today, the cake owes much to Mrs. Rosa Maria, who meanwhile created her confectionery brand, Doces R. M.. Did the recipe come originally from Brazil, as some venture to say?
